Scorpio Full Moon Tarot Spread

Wow, that happened quick! I cannot believe we have our first full moon of the month already. This month is zooming by, and maybe it's because of my preoccupation with planning my summer wedding, but I literally cannot believe how this full moon snuck up on us. For the tarot spread below I was inspired by the Sabian Symbols of this full moon which is at 23° Scorpio and its opposition to the Sun in Taurus also at 23°. The Sabian Symbol for today’s Scorpio Full Moon at 23° is, A Rabbit Metamorphoses Into A Nature Spirit. The Scorpio full moon happens to be opposing the Sun in Taurus. The Sabian Symbol for Taurus 23° is A Jewelry Shop Filled With Valuable Gems. The main theme of the symbol for Scoprio is to achieve spiritual transcendence. We can achieve this by curbing our primal tendencies and focus this energy instead towards enlightenment, hence the nature spirits. This symbol aligns with Scorpio’s bodily ruling of the reproductive organs. It is a very sexual symbol, for that is a part of nature and a huge focus on the continuation of the human species. It is no surprise that the animal chosen to represent this symbol is a bunny, for they are a mammal that has a reputation for its vital reproductive tendencies by being able to give birth multiple times a year. Yet, this symbol shows us that human’s exist not only to reproduce, but to find some type of spiritual significance in our lives. We all need to make a conscious practice to find more time to nurture our spiritual life like we do our sexual one.
The Sabian Symbol for Taurus at 23° is the most hedonistic symbol yet. The symbol is A Jewelry Shop Filled With Valuable Gems, and is about appreciating the beauty of life and also enjoying the physical attainment of it. Taurus have a taste for luxury. They are known for their sensuality by enjoying the finer things in life whether it be food, sex, jewels, luxury handbags, etc. Taurus are pleasure filled andVenus is the ruling planet for Taurus. Venus is not only a planet that represents money and beauty, but it reflects our self worth as well. A way to enhance our self-worth is not only by feeling good, but by looking good. We can admire beauty and luxury, but we also want that for ourselves and that is part of our humanistic tendencies.
The Sabian Symbol for Taurus is more about materialistic admiration and its connection to personal achievements and fulfillment. Whereas the symbol for Scorpio is trying to find a more conscious meaning of existence outside of sexual desires and possession. The Scorpio full moon asks you to contemplate your values on a deeper level to see where most of your goals are leaning towards.
